Creating Veracyte's design system
The Challenge
The brand refresh needed to live consistently across current and upcoming products, but no unified design system existed to make that possible. Without one, every product team would interpret the brand differently, provider and patient experiences would fragment, and each new launch would slow as teams rebuilt foundational components from scratch.
The Approach
FreshForm built a corporate-wide digital design system engineered to extend the new brand into every digital surface, meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and work natively inside Salesforce using SLDS 2.
The work delivered a full component library, page templates, and documented foundations covering breakpoints, aspect ratios, desktop widths, gutters, typography, grids, and content constraints like maximum tag character lengths.
FreshForm created the design system and UI Library Figma and coordinated with Veracyte's branding agency to keep digital and brand standards aligned.
“Dev Ready” files were handed directly to the Salesforce and Website developers, with revisions incorporated through client and engineering review.
The Outcome
Veracyte now has one design system that scales across the product portfolio, supports upcoming launches without rework, and keeps Salesforce-based experiences visually consistent with the rest of the brand. Internal teams ship faster, vendor handoffs run cleaner, and the new brand remained consistent as it rolled out globally.
